Read a short Ray Lilly scene at the Suvudu Cage Match

Standard

The poll is up. Head over there to read the fight scene featuring Ray Lilly, and see him take damage like never before (and of course he has no idea he’s in a cage match).

If he wins I get to write another one, so why not drop a vote for him?

added later: Hey, be aware that this one gets a little… intense. Don’t click through if you don’t want to read a scene that’s very physical and a little over-the-top.

  1. I did my part; I voted for Ray and (while I don’t want to jinx it) he has a slight lead… I say if he beats Tyrion too, you’ll be convinced to right the next book in Ray’s story!

I hope you get some much needed publicity with this and get some more traction on your books. I’m a fan of Twenty Palaces and would love to see it live on!

I really think its going to come down to, is the question “who do you THINK will win” vs “who do you WANT to win.” Anyone who knows about both characters would imagine kellhus winning. I mean good lord, have you seen some of the powers he has beyond magic? Super human reflexes, amazing logic, its personally the type of character that doesn”t have any flaws).

On the flipside lilly is just soooo much more likeable as a character, hes a real and flawed human, totally the guy you’d root for even though he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell.

In the end, I totally voted for ray.

  4. That was…eugh. Ray’s looking more and more like the peers, isn’t he? This is the sort of slide-into-darkness I’d love to watch.

How does this cage match thing work? I thought there’s be two scenes written, one for each opponent, but it looks more like there’s one scene written and then people vote on whether they like/agree with it.

  5. All the cage matches are non-canon. :)

I’m not sure how the cage matches are run. Some battles have two writeups in them, some have only one. Some are written by the authors involved, some by editors of the site.

I don’t know that there is a standard.
